Blog automation API for custom sites and headless setups
Your site runs on a custom stack, a headless CMS or something we do not connect to directly. The AutomatedBlog API hands you finished posts, ready to publish, and you decide where they go. API access is part of the Enterprise plan.
01
Webhook push or REST pull
Pick the way that fits your system. Both deliver the same finished post.
- Webhook. When a post is ready on its scheduled day, AutomatedBlog sends it to an address you choose.
- REST pull. Your system asks for ready posts on its own schedule and fetches them.
- Each request is signed with your account key, so you can check it came from us.
- Mark a post as published so it does not come back on the next pull.
You create and revoke API keys in your account. Keys are shown once and stored encrypted.
02
Every field you need to publish
Each post comes as one structured record. You place it in your own templates.
- Title.
- Slug.
- HTML body with headings, lists and image tags.
- Meta description.
- Images with alt text, up to 3 per post on Enterprise.
- Internal links, already placed inside the HTML, plus a list of the pages each post links to.
- Scheduled publish date and time.
- Topic, target phrase and suggested tags.
The HTML is clean and plain, so it takes on your site styles without fighting them.
03
Fits the stack you already run
The API suits teams with a developer and a site that is not on WordPress, Shopify, Webflow or Ghost.
- A static site that rebuilds when a new post arrives.
- A headless CMS that stores posts for several front ends.
- An in-house platform for many brands or locations.
- A review tool your team already uses before anything goes live.
Everything else stays the same as on other platforms. Topics come from what your customers search for, posts follow your brand rules, facts come only from your own pages, and a safety review checks each post.
04
Enterprise gives API access and the controls around it
API access comes with the Enterprise plan, together with the tools larger teams need.
- 400 posts per month and 30 connected sites.
- SSO for your team sign in.
- Roles without limit.
- An audit log of who changed what.
- Invoicing and priority support by email.
Enterprise costs $999 per month, or $499 per month billed yearly ($5,988). Checkout is self serve, with no sales calls. See the full autoblogging pricing.
05
Prefer a ready connection
If your site runs on a common platform, a ready connection is simpler than the API and works on every plan. See blog automation integrations, the WordPress autoblogging plugin and Ghost blog automation.
06
Which plan includes the API?
API access is part of the Enterprise plan. Other plans connect through WordPress, Shopify, Webflow or Ghost.
Can I use webhooks and REST pull together?
Yes. You can receive posts by webhook and still fetch them over REST, for example to catch up after downtime on your side.
Do API posts count toward my monthly limit?
Yes. Every post written counts toward your plan limit, no matter how it is delivered. Slots reset each billing period.
